1088 Phrases of the Year
"Don't dwell on what went wrong. Instead, focus on what to do next. Spend your energies on moving forward toward finding the answer" author unknown.
The greatest leader is not necessarily the one who does the greatest things...He is the one to get the (people) members to do the greatest things!
It is solely for our children and seniors and local community service. The rest is negotiable.
The TV's are off...did they for forget to pay the bill? In reality the bartender just didn't power them up for the day..
Moose Pride!! 1088 to the TOP!!

SOCIAL QUARTERS RULES
This has always been the policy of the Moose International but not enforced as well as it should have been:
The front door will be closed unless staffed by a Moose Member or an Officer. Membership card access is required.
We have given three weeks notice the House Committee will be enforcing this rule.
* ONLY MEMBERS IN GOOD STANDING (NOT IN ARREARS) MAY PURCHASE ALCOHOL.
* GUESTS MAY NOT PURCHASE ALCOHOL.
* FOR LODGES THAT HAVE THEIR OWN GAMING LICENSES THIS ALSO TRUE FOR PULL TABS AND BINGO.
* OUR LODGE GAMING IS RUN BY THE FRATERNAL ORDER OF POLICE. GUESTS MAY PURCHASE PULL-TABS AND PLAY BINGO AT LODGE 1088.
* GUESTS ARE ALLOWED ONLY TWO VISITS (non bingo) BEFORE THEY ARE REQUIRED TO FILL OUT A MEMBERSHIP APPLICATION.
* FOR ALCOHOL PURCHASES YOU MUST SHOW YOUR MEMBERSHIP CARD ON THE FIRST DRINK TO THE SERVER.
*If you are not current in your dues you will not be allowed to participate in Moose Horseshoe, Golf, Bowling, and Dart Leagues until your dues are paid current.
Why is this being done now?
1) If you go to any other Moose Lodge you are required to present your card to the server or pull-tab sellers. We should be no different.
2) Some members will not pay their dues because their membership card has meant little in terms of access.
PLEASE BE KIND TO THE SERVER. This is not their call as they are only doing what they are directed to by the House Committee and Moose International's Regional Manager. We have asked the servers to use common sense in enforcing this.
We ask for your cooperation in this issue.
Reminder, we do not accept Business checks other than rentals or donations, 3rd party checks, or money orders.
The House Committee

"Why should I pay my dues?" As Steve Blaha put it, "you give to Charity every year. Think of your dues as nothing different! Your dues go to support our Children at Mooseheart and our Seniors at Moosehaven. Beyond that, you get the rewards of membership at a Lodge where you can have fun at events, drink at a reduced rate, and eat great food! That is the hidden benefits of membership. We are not just a bar. We are a social structure that has a great purpose. When you think of those kids and seniors, that alone should be reason enough to pay your dues!!"
